George joins Prince William in preparing meal for homeless

The Prince of Wales has brought his 12-year-old son Prince George to help at a homeless shelter, so he can teach him about homelessness and show him the efforts of organisations trying to tackle it.

Prince William took his son to a charity with a deep personal connection - the Passage, in Westminster - where William had been brought as a child by his mother Diana, Princess of Wales.

This handing on of the torch took place last week, with George helping to make lunch for people being supported by the Passage, which works with homeless people in central London.

Prince George signed a visitors' book using the same page signed by William and his grandmother Diana in December 1993.

Royal Christmas Cards

King Charles and Queen Camilla have chosen a photograph of themselves taken in Rome for their official Christmas card.

The photograph, taken in April during their state visit to Italy, shows the smiling couple standing side by side on a garden path. The greeting inside reads "Wishing you a very happy Christmas and New Year".

The King - standing on the left - is wearing a dark blue suit and grey tie, while the Queen is wearing a white and beige coat dress.

This photograph is their fourth Christmas card since Charles became King.

Maybe there was a memo sent round the royal households of Europe, but many of this year's Christmas cards seem to have similar images of showing their families holding on to each other tenderly.

Touching, linking arms, holding hands, hugging, they're all sending messages about how close they are to each other.

It's like royal superglue has been applied, connecting them in these Christmas portraits. This is the era of the relatable royals.

The Duchess of Sussex has shared a family photo taken with the Duke of Sussex and their two children alongside a Christmas message.

In the photo shared on Instagram, Prince Archie is seen hugging his father, while Meghan is bending down and holding hands with Princess Lilibet. They are standing on a small, wooden bridge in a woodland.

"Happy Holidays! From our family to yours," her message reads.

Separately, the duke and duchess have also released a Christmas card and end-of-year video highlighting their charitable endeavours.
